200mg, the dose endurance research keeps pointing at. Sharper alertness, lower perceived effort, measurable improvement in time-to-exhaustion. Equivalent to a double espresso.
1g for nitric oxide production. Better blood flow to working muscles, less perceived effort, easier to hold pace at the back end of a hard session.
250mg for sustained focus and reduced muscle fatigue. Works alongside caffeine, sharper but smoother than caffeine alone.
1g of natural extract. A slower-release caffeine source layered on top, so the lift lasts past the first hour instead of crashing.
Real fruit-derived flavour, no synthetic aroma. Designed to go down clean even when you've been sweating for two hours.
No fast carbs, no spike, no comedown. The kick is all stimulant, not glucose.
When should I take a performance shot?
About 20-30 minutes before the moment you need the push: start of a hard interval block, the bottom of a climb, or the back end of a long ride when you feel the head going. The 200mg of caffeine peaks around 45 minutes after intake and the guarana extends that out across the next 90.
Will it upset my stomach?
The 25ml volume is small enough that the gut handles it well even mid-effort. Zero sugar means no osmolar spike. The caffeine + acid combo can be sensitive for some athletes. Train with it before you race with it, and don't stack it with a heavy gel in the same five minutes.
What's actually in it?
Water, citrulline malate, natural flavouring, caffeine anhydrous, taurine, guarana extract, citric acid, sucralose, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate. Zero sugar. Vegan, gluten-free, made in The EU.
How is this different from coffee?
Three things. Dose: a coffee is somewhere between 80-200mg of caffeine. A shot is exactly 200mg, every time. Format: a coffee is hot, sloshes, and needs a stop. A shot is a 25ml bottle you can carry in a jersey pocket. And: a coffee doesn't have citrulline or taurine layered on top.
Can I take more than one shot in a ride?
A second shot 90 minutes after the first works for most athletes on long days. Avoid stacking inside an hour. That puts you over 400mg of caffeine quickly, which is past the point of diminishing returns for endurance and into territory where the side effects (heart rate, jitter, gut) start to cost more than they give.
How does it taste?
Citrus-forward, not sweet, not bitter. Designed to be drinkable when you've been sweating for two hours and don't want anything cloying. Goes down in two seconds, foil sachet stays in your pocket until you find a bin.
Pair it with your race fuel
A shot wakes you up. The carbs keep you going. Stack with a C.O1 chew or a D.O1 bottle for the full picture.
